Hey, this is Odysseus again! A lot has happened since I last wrote to you guys. Tiresias had warned me that we will have to pass Scylla and Charybdis on our way back to Ithyca, so therefore I am torn between two decisions. Either to tell my crew that we will encounter Scylla and Charybdis or let them be surprised. If I tell them, they might want to turn around and sail in the opposite direction and if I don't tell them, they will be caught off guard and may not be able to fight.
The closer we get to Scylla and Charybdis, I start to get a little nervous myself, but I know I have to be strong and be a leader. My men finally figure out what is coming up ahead. The more we approach Charybdis, the more my crew starts to get fearful. I decide to give them a pep talk.
We made it passed Charybdis and now here comes Scylla. She stops our ship and snags six of my best men sending them to their deaths. The sight was atrocious. Scylla eventually let us pass after she was content with her meal and we sailed on.
To many more letters,
-Odysseus
